Big Head’s is located north of 

I-10, on Bayou Grosse Tete. 

Grosse Tete is a small community located just west of Baton Rouge and east of the Atchafalaya Spillway.   

With its beautiful live oak trees, green pastures & rustic fence lines; the Bayou is the heart of this small community and the people that live here are the soul. 

It’s been said that Bayou Grosse Tete, which means “Big Head” in French, got it’s name from a big-headed Choctaw Indian who lived and hunted in the area when it was first settled by Acadians.

So, the next time you are traveling I-10 between Baton Rouge and Lafayette and you come across the Grosse Tete exit, stop by Big Head's for a little taste and feel of good Louisiana living.

You may even catch a game  or race on the big screen.
